The Sewer Rates are the same as the Water Rates.  Sales tax is added to water and not sewer.

Sewer is only available inside the city.

There are no separate rates for commercial or small industry.

Instructions for paying online.

To pay your Utility bills choose the following items: 

State:  Tennessee;  County/City:  Madisonville, City of; Payment:  Utility.

Then fill out the remaining forms to submit your payment and a payment receipt will be emailed to you.

To pay your Property Tax (not the same as utility) choose the following items:   

State:  Tennessee;  County/City: Madisonville Tax, City of; Payment: Tax.

Then fill out the remaining forms to submit your payment and a payment receipt will be emailed to you.

Increasing our efficiency with new meters

Over the past 2 months, the City of Madisonville has upgraded the water and gas meters to digital meters that allow drive-by reading capabilities.  The new meters allow our staff to drive into your neighborhood to quickly and accurately gather the readings from our citizens’ meters.

These new meters are from Neptune.   Here some details from their site

All Neptune water meters meet or exceed American Water Works Association standards and NSF/ANSI 61 certifications.

All Neptune water meters are automatic meter reading (AMR) and advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) capable.

All bronze meter bodies are made from a lead free, high copper alloy.
