In November of 2023, the Tennessee Department of Intellectual and Development Disabilities awarded over 400K in grant money to the City of Madisonville to make Kefauver Park a place where people of all abilities can play side by side! July 8, 2024 a ribbon cutting was held to mark the official opening of the playground.
A special thank you to Madisonville Library Director Kim Hicks for writing the grant in conjunction with the City of Madisonville, along with Tracey Green and Stacy Chambers as project managers. Also thank you to Commissioner Brad Turner for selecting Madisonville as a location to make a difference!
